Define success for an AI-agent checkout pilot before it starts
Measure successMediumProblem. The team has a prototype that lets businesses accept orders placed by AI shopping agents on behalf of consumers. Fifteen businesses will try it for eight weeks. Before the pilot starts, the PM asks you: what does success look like, and how will we know whether to keep going?
Before you reveal: say your answer out loud, as if you were in the real interview — get your reasoning across clearly first. There is no single correct answer: reading what the interviewer is really after and defending your own thinking is what makes an answer strong.
