Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
DataCase (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information when you use our website and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect:
- account information, such as your name, email address, login credentials, and subscription status;
- transaction information, such as purchase history, billing country, and payment status;
- usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, timestamps, referral URLs, and other analytics data;
- communications you send to us, including support emails, feedback, and survey responses;
- information from third-party login providers if you choose to sign in through them.
We never see or store your payment card details. Card data is collected and processed entirely by our payment provider, Paddle, which is the Merchant of Record for our orders.
We also do not store your password. Authentication is handled by our login provider, Clerk.
2. Why We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage your account;
- provide subscriptions, course access, and customer support;
- process payments and prevent fraud;
- analyze usage and improve the Service;
- send transactional emails and service notices;
- send marketing communications where permitted by law or where you have consented;
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
3. Legal Basis
Where required by applicable law, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information only with the service providers we rely on to run DataCase, and only as far as they need it to do their job:
- Paddle — our payment provider and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your purchase, card details, billing, and tax, and handles billing enquiries.
- Clerk — our authentication provider. Clerk manages sign-up, sign-in, and passwords, so we never handle your password ourselves.
- Netlify — our hosting provider, which serves the website and processes the requests you make to it.
- Other providers we may use for email, customer support, and privacy-respecting analytics.
We may also disclose personal information to professional advisers and auditors, to legal or regulatory authorities where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security, and to a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not authorize third parties to use your personal information for their own independent marketing purposes except with your consent.
5. Cross-Border Processing
Because we serve users in multiple countries, your personal information may be processed or stored outside your province, state, or country, including in jurisdictions with different privacy laws. Where we transfer information across borders, we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Service, keep business and tax records, enforce agreements, and resolve disputes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, ask us to correct inaccurate information, request deletion where applicable, withdraw consent in certain cases, or object to particular processing activities. To make a request, contact us at datacasesupport@gmail.com.
8. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve the Service. You can adjust your browser settings to block certain cookies, though some parts of the Service may not function properly.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not direct the Service to children.
