Measure how much a retry/dunning flow actually recovers

Problem. You want the true recovery from a retry + dunning flow on failed subscription renewals. Someone reports "60% of failed renewals eventually recover, so the flow recovers 60%." What's wrong, and how do you measure it right?

Before you reveal: say your answer out loud, as if you were in the real interview — get your reasoning across clearly first. There is no single correct answer: reading what the interviewer is really after and defending your own thinking is what makes an answer strong.
